Day 1 – Ferrol to Xubia

This morning began with making my way from Old Town Santiago to Estacion de Autobus.  I took the 9:15 bus to Ferrol.

The morning began a bit chilly for this desert girl, but once I began walking I warmed up quickly and by the time I reached the bus I removed my long sleeve blouse.  Yes, I layered properly – my tee shirt was underneath my blouse.  The ride to Ferrol took one hour.

Once I arrived in Ferrol, I walked to the monument at the beginning the Camino Ingles.
The walk today was alongside the River and was mostly on pavement.  It did promise many wonderful sights yet to be revealed.

  4. Dear Arlene, I still follow both your and Bill’s blogs (and Steve whenever he puts something up!) but because I’m travelling for a few months, often can only just read and appreciate, but please know I’m still really happily following your current Camino rythm!! Enjoy every moment. Britta
