Thursday is market day in Barcelos.
An enormous area is set up with tents and merchants with everything from fruit to nuts, all types of clothing and just about anything else you can imagine are selling their goods.
I walked through the maze of tents managing not to purchase a single item.
It was suitcase restriction that held my shopping at bay. To make even the smallest purchase would have necessitated the purchase of another piece of luggage seeing as I already must sit atop the luggage I have in order to close it.
Afterwards I had lunch with Bill, Jen and Steve and then we all walked around Barcelos while waiting for Katarina to return from dropping the others in the group at Bom do Jesus.
The ride to BJ was long but the Cathedral is magnificant.
But the absolute best part of the day was that the hotel provides pilgrims with a proper place to wash and dry their boots!
