Camino de Gastronomía Portuguesa y Gastronomía  Española – Day 3 – Vila do Conde to Esposende

Distance Walked: 16.5
Total Distance Walked:30.7

Today was a long hard day walking for a while on boardwalk but for the rest of the day on granite cobblestone which is awfully hard on the feet.

But the day began with a marvelous breakfast.

Yes the scrambled eggs were almost orange in color and absolutely delicious.

We walked for a few miles and then stopped for some coffee.

Right before we go to the dreaded cobblestones, we had a wonderful lunch with a beer,

Vegetable soup with cauliflower

Followed by a beautiful salad.

The owner than brought us a glass of port.

Dinner tonight was in a local seafood restaurant.

Mussels and Prawns appetizer

Shellfish and Rice

Grilled Prawns

Now our stomachs are full, it is time for bed to dream of yet another day of walking.

  1. Looked fabulous and brings back great memories, though, honestly, I don’t recall those meals looking this delicious.

  3. Oooooh Arlene! That seafood looks absolutely delicious and I’m surprised you got your pictures before delving into the offerings! I always had my food half eaten before I remembered pictures. 14 and 16 miles make for long days but needed to walk off those meals. Keep the pics coming and enjoy!

    • Lynda I’m trying to remember the pictures before we dig in, not always successful though. The long days of walking are tough though.
