Day 6 – 17 August 2014 – Rest Day in Muxia

I stayed in bed until 8:30 this morning and finally made it down to breakfast sometime afterward.

After breakfast, I walked to the tip of Muxia to see the Santuario da Nosa Senora da Barca.  It is always good to have a good climb to begin the day 🙂  It was incredibly windy up there, but absolutely beautiful.

After walking to the top of the hill called Monte Corpino I made my way back down into town and had a cafe con leche.

And then I walked down to the seashore to feel the sand between my toes and the cold Atlantic around my ankles.

I love the ocean, I truly believe it is in my blood having been brought up on the south shore of Long Island, New York.

Today  I am feeling as though I have come home!

  4. Arlene, how wonderful to be in Muxia. It is such a beautiful place, with an amazing history. I loved it. Your photos and post brought a tear to my eyes as the table in your cafe con leche photo was exactly where I sat, 10 months ago.
Continue to enjoy the journey and allow the salt water to course through you, renewing and invigorating.
    Blessings
